L'ottavo giorno del nuovo anno lunare è Shunxing Festival, una festa tradizionale cinese. È il giorno in cui le stelle sono nel regno inferiore. Il cielo è pieno di stelle. È quando gli anziani identificano le stelle per i loro figli e nipoti.
On the eighth day of the Lunar New Year, is Shunxing Festival，a traditional Chinese. It is the day when the stars are in the lower realm. The sky is full of stars. It is when the elders identify the stars for their children and grandchildren.
La cerimonia del sacrificio delle stelle durante il Festival di Shunxing si tiene di notte. I ricchi possono disporre di massimo 108 lanterne, mentre le persone comuni al massimo di 49. Comunque le lanterne devono essere almeno 9, per rappresentare il sole, la luna, l'acqua, il fuoco, il legno, l'oro, terra, Luohou e Ji .
The ceremony of sacrificing the stars on the Shunxing Festival is held at night. Rich people can place even 108 lanterns, while common people only 49, at least 9, representing the sun, moon, water, fire, wood, gold, earth, Luohou and Ji .
Secondo il folklore, l'ottavo giorno del primo mese del calendario lunare è anche il compleanno di Guzi.

这天天气晴朗，则这一年稻谷丰收，天阴则年歉
Se in questo giorno il tempo è sereno, la raccolta del riso sarà buona quest'anno e se il cielo è coperto, avremo di che vergognarci tutto l'anno.
If this day the weather is clear, the rice harvest will be good this year, and if the sky is overcast, we will apologize the whole year long.
