大年初十石磨日 Decimo Giorno / Tenth Day

 

 

Il decimo giorno del primo mese del calendario lunare, una delle feste popolari tradizionali in Cina, è conosciuto come Festa della Pietra ed è il compleanno del dio della pietra, è anche chiamato "Giorno Shimao", "Giorno del Dieci", "Pietra che non va mossa" etc.

The tenth day of the first month of the lunar calendar, one of the traditional folk festivals in China, is known as the Feast of the Stone and is the birthday of the god of stone, it is also called "Shimao Day", "Day of the Ten", "The Stone must not be moved" etc.

 

 

 石不动”la pietra non va mossa / the stone must not be moved

In questo giorno non si devono usare strumenti di pietra come la pietra per la macinatura e anche i sacrifici sono volti per rimuovere le pietre che danneggiano i raccolti. Conosciuto anche come "la pietra non va mossa", è un'usanza dello Henan. In questo giorno le famiglie rendono omaggio all'incenso della pietra mangiando torte di riso glutinoso a pranzo.

On this day stone tools such as stone for grinding must not be used and sacrifices are also set aside to as to remove the stones that damage the crops. Also known as "stone must not be moved", it is a custom of Henan. On this day, all families pay tribute to stone incense eating glutinous rice cakes for lunch.

 


Nella città dello Shandong e in altri luoghi si usava rivolgersi al dio della pietra. Nelle prime nove notti, la gente teneva da parte delle cose nei barattoli che venivano posate su una grossa pietra liscia: la mattina del decimo giorno, delle corde venivano usate per tirare su questi barattoli. C’erano dieci giovani che si alternavano per portare sù i barattoli. Se la pietra non cadeva, indicava un buon raccolto.

In the city of Shandong and in other places they used to apply to the stone god. In the first nine nights, people were collecting things in cans put on a large, smooth stone: on the morning of the tenth day, ropes were used to collect these cans. There were ten young people alternated to bring up the cans. If the stone did not fall, it indicated a good harvest.

 

Nella parte centro-meridionale della provincia di Hebei, la sera ogni famiglia accende un falò vicino alla porta, bruciando vecchi utensili da cucina usati durante l'anno, allontanando cosi il male per tutto l'anno da venire.

In the central-southern part of Hebei province, every family lights a bonfire by the door in the evening, burning old kitchen utensils used during the year, thus removing the evil for the whole year to come.
