小满 Piccola Pienezza / Small filfullness

Il periodo  lunisolare 小满 "Piccola pienezza" segue quello di  立夏 Lìxià ("Inizio d'estate") ed  inizia quando il Sole raggiunge la longitudine celeste di 60 °. Termina quando il Sole raggiunge la longitudine di 75°. Si riferisce in particolare al giorno in cui il sole è esattamente alla longitudine celeste di 60°. Quest'anno inizia il 21 maggio e termina il 4 giugno. 

The lunisolar period 小满 "Small filfullness" follows that of 立夏 Lìxià ("Early Summer") and begins when the Sun reaches the celestial longitude of 60 °. It ends when the Sun reaches the longitude of 75°. It is particularly referred to the day when the sun is exactly at 60° degrees. This year begins on May 21th and ends on June 4th. 

 

 

Nel nord della Cina il nome si riferisce alle colture estive del grano che è pieno ma non è ancora maturo.
In northern China, the name refers to summer grain crops that are full but are not yet ripe.

 

 

 

Nel Sud a 小满  è stato dato un nuovo significato: "Xiaoman insoddisfatto, asciugare la cresta". La parola 满 "pienezza" è usata per descrivere sufficienza o mancanza di pioggia. Qui si sottolinea che se i campi non sono soddisfatti di acqua, la piantagione di riso può soffrirne. 

In the South to 小满  was given a new meaning: "Xiaoman dissatisfied, dry the crest". The word 满 "fullness" is used to describe enough or lack of rain. Here it is emphasized that if the fields are not satisfied with water, rice plantation can suffer.

 

 

 

 

Secondo la leggenda, 小满  è il compleanno del Dio del baco da seta. Nelle Regioni Jiangsu e Zhejiang si fa una festa di preghiera durante il periodo 小满 .  

According to the legend, 小满 is the birthday of the god of silkworm. In Jiangsu and Zhejiang, there is a prayer festival during the 小满 time.
