Bathing Buddha Festival, noto anche come compleanno di Buddha è l'ottavo giorno del quarto mese del calendario lunare ed è il compleanno di Buddha Sakyamuni.

Bathing Buddha Festival, also known as Buddha's birthday is the eighth day of the fourth month of the lunar calendar and is Buddha Sakyamuni's birthday.

Buddha Shakyamuni nacque nel 623 a.C. ed era il principe dell'antico Kapilavastu indiano (nell'attuale Nepal). Era una cerimonia importante nell'antico buddismo indiano e la sua origine è nei documenti storici della nascita di Sakyamuni. La leggenda narra che quando nacque Shakyamuni, la terra tremò con un dito al cielo e un dito a terra, e Jiulong sputò acqua per bagnarlo. Il 22 novembre 2019 è stato annunciato il nuovo "Elenco delle unità di protezione per i progetti rappresentativi del patrimonio culturale immateriale nazionale" e l'associazione della fiera dei fiori di Miaofengshang del distretto di Mentougou a Pechino ha ricevuto la qualifica di unità di protezione con il nome "Raduno del tempio Niangniang  di Miaofengshan  ".
