Festa della Mamma è una festa per ringraziare le madri.
Mother's Day is a holiday to thank the mother.
Si tiene la seconda domenica di maggio di ogni anno,
quest'anno cade il 9 maggio.
It is held on the second Sunday of May each year, this
year it falls on May 9th.
Le madri ricevono dei regali; le madri cinesi ricevono il
fiore di giglio, chiamato anche 忘忧草 (fiore
dell'oblio).
Mothers usually receive gifts on this day,
Chinese mothers receive Hemerocallis flower, also called forgetful grass.
Il garofano (康乃馨) è altresì
simbolo della Festa della Mamma.
Carnation is
also a symbol of Mother's Day.
In
Cina si usa preparare speciali torte 康乃馨甜点 (torte di garofano).
In China it is used to
prepare special 康乃馨 甜点 (Carnation pies).
Il 13
novembre 2006, Li Hanqiu, membro del Comitato Nazionale ha proposto
l'istituzione del giorno specifico della mamma cinese ed ha usato l'immagine di
孟母 (Madre Meng) come simbolo della Festa Cinese
della Mamma.
November 13, 2006, the National Committee of the CPPCC
member, Li Hanqiu proposed the establishment of the Chinese people's own
Mother's Day, and decided to use "Meng mother" as the representative
of the Chinese Mother's Day image.
